Shipping policy
Last updated: 11 September 2026
This policy covers orders placed with First Paddock Co Pty Ltd (ABN 12 701 615 787), trading as First Paddock, through firstpaddock.com.au.
Where we deliver
We deliver anywhere in Australia. We do not ship overseas.
Smaller parcels can be sent to a PO box or a Parcel Locker. Larger items cannot, and where that applies it is noted on the product page or at checkout.
Where your order comes from
Everything we sell is held and packed by us and dispatched from Camden, New South Wales, by Australia Post.
Dispatch
Orders are usually dispatched the next business day. Please allow up to two business days for dispatch.
Orders placed on weekends or public holidays are processed from the next business day.
Dispatch is when your order leaves us. How long it then takes to reach you depends on Australia Post and where you are.
If anything you have ordered turns out to be delayed, we will email you rather than let you wonder.
How long delivery takes
We send everything by Australia Post Parcel Post with tracking. Delivery times are set by Australia Post and vary by destination: metropolitan addresses on the east coast are generally quickest, and regional, remote, Western Australian and Northern Territory addresses take longer. Once your order is dispatched, your tracking link shows Australia Post's current delivery estimate for your parcel.
Delivery charges
Delivery is calculated at checkout based on the weight of your order and where it is going. You see the full cost before you pay, and we will not come back to you afterwards asking for more.
Tracking
Every order is tracked. We email you the tracking number as soon as your order is dispatched.
Large and heavy items
Most of what we sell posts as an ordinary parcel. Australia Post's parcel limits are 22 kg, 105 cm in length and 0.25 cubic metres. Anything that cannot be sent within those limits, or cannot be priced accurately at checkout, is not sold through normal online checkout. Instead the product page tells you how to get a delivery quote from us first. We would rather do that than take your money and come back asking for more freight afterwards.
If you are not home
Australia Post will leave a parcel in a safe place if there is one, or leave a card and take it to the nearest post office or collection point.
If you want a parcel left somewhere specific, put it in the delivery instructions at checkout. We pass it on, though the final call sits with the driver.
Wrong address
We send to the address you give us at checkout. Please check it, particularly rural property details.
If you spot a mistake, email us straight away. If your order has not been dispatched we can usually fix it. If it has, we will help you chase it, but we cannot cover the cost of a parcel sent to an address you supplied.
Lost or damaged in transit
If your parcel is damaged when it arrives, or the tracking says delivered and it is not there, contact us. We deal with Australia Post and sort out a replacement or a refund. See our Refund and Returns Policy.
