Sheep & Goats
Sheep and goats are the two great escape artists of the small farm, for opposite reasons. Wool insulates a sheep against a weak pulse, so sheep need a more powerful energiser than their size suggests. Goats simply treat every fence as a puzzle to solve. The answer to both is the same: a multi-wire fence with real punch behind it, and earthing done properly.
A typical setup runs five or six wires (or offset wires on an existing fence), a mains or solar energiser with enough grunt to hold voltage through wool, insulators, an earth kit and a tester so you know it is all working.
